El Consejo General de Caciques del Pueblo Williche de Chiloé, a través del presente comunicado quiere expresar su solidaridad con los hermanos del pueblo mapuche que han sido heridos de bala por parte de la policía de investigaciones en Tirua, así como con todos los hermanos que viven hoy en conflicto por la defensa de sus legítimos derechos sobre la tierra.

Hechos tan graves como los que hemos conocido por los medios de comunicación, dan cuenta de la urgente necesidad de atender a las legítimas demandas de nuestros pueblos por parte de l Gobierno chileno. La forma violenta y desmedida con que se reprime y amenaza constantemente a nuestros pueblos por parte del Estado, nos llevan a llamar a todas las personas de buena voluntad y a los organismos de derechos humanos, tanto chilenos como internacionales, para que se sumen a defender la vida de las personas. No es justo ni justificable el uso de armas contra nuestros hermanos y tales atropellos deben detenerse, por el respeto a la vida que con tanta fuerza ha proclamado el Gobierno Chileno..

En estos momentos de sufrimiento de nuestros hermanos, estamos rogando a nuestro Chau Guenechen para que la prepotencia y los intereses económicos no se impongan por sobre la vida y para que el Estado no pague con nuestra propia sangre la deuda histórica que tiene con nuestros pueblos.
 
 

The General Council of Chiefs of the Williche People of Chiloe, by means of this present announcement wishes to express their solidarity with their brothers of the Mapuche people who have been wounded by police-fired bullets from the investigation police of Tirua, as also with all our brothers who live today in conflict because of the defence of their legitimate rights to own their land.

Such grave events, as those we have been informed of, through the communications media, require urgently that the Chilean Government should attend to the legitimate demands of our people. The beyond any measure of reason, violent, and uncontrolled manner in which the repression has taken place, and the constant threats to our people which come from the Chilean Government, lead us to call on all people of good will, and the Human Rights’ Organizations, Chilean and international, to come and join us to defend people’s lives. The use of weapons against our brothers is not fair nor justifiable and these outrages must cease, in the name of the respect for life which the Chilean Government has proclaimed with so much vehemence.

In these moments when our brothers are suffering, we pray to our Chau Guenechen that Brute Force and Economic Interests do not impose themselves over Life, and that the State dare not pay with our blood the historical debt it has with our people.

Le conseil General des Caciques**du Peuple Williche de Chiloé veut exprimer par voie du communiqué present sa solidarité avec les frères du peuple Mapuche, blessés par balles tirés par la police civile à Tirúa ,ainsi qu'avec tous les frères qui vivent aujourd'hui en conflit pour la défense de leur droits légitimes sur la terre.

Des faits aussi graves comme ceux que nous avons appris par les media ,font preuv
e de la nécesité urgente que le Gouvernement Chilien doit prendre soin des demandes légitimes de nos peuples  .La forme violente et démesuré avec lequel l'État réprime et menace constament nos peuples ,nous mènent à faire un appel à toute personne de bonne volonté et aux organisations de droits humains ,autant les chiliennes comme les internationales ,pourqu'ils(elles) se joignent à défendre la vie des personnes  .Ce n'est pas juste ,ni justifiable l'utilisation des armes contre nos frères et il faut arrêter des infamies semblables ,pour le respect à la vie qu'avec tant de force a proclamé le Gouvernement Chilien lui-même  .

En ces moments de souffrance de nos frères ,nous prions notre Chau Guenechèn (Dieu) pourque la prépotence et les intérêts économiques ne s'imposent pas sur le vie et pourque l'État ne paye pas avec notre propre sang la dette historique qu'il tient envers nos peuples  .

De Algemene Raad van Caciques (chefs) van het Willichevolk van Chiloé ,wil met dit communiqué hun solidariteit uitdrukken met hun broeders van het Mapuchevolk die gekwetst werden door kogels van het rechercheteam van de politie in Tirúa ,en ook met onze broeders die in een konflikt gewikkeld zijn om hun legitieme rechten over hun gronden te verdedigen  .

De zeer erge feiten die bekend geworden zijn via de media ,wijzen erop dat het hoogdringend  is dat de Chileense Regering tegemoet komt aan de legitieme eisen van onze bevolkingsgroep  .De gewelddadige en buitensporige manier waarmee de Staat voortdurend onze bevolkingsgroep onderdrukt en bedreigt , leiden ons ertoe een oproep te doen aan alle personen van goede wil en organisaties voor mensenrechten , zowel chileense als internationale ,opdat zij zouden opkomen voor de verdediging van mensenlevens  .Het gebruik van wapens tegen onze broeders is onrechtvaardig en ook niet rechtvaardigbaar en dergelijke schendingen moeten ophouden ,omwille van het respekt voor het leven dat de Chileense Regering zo krachtig heeft geproclameerd  .

In deze ogenblikken dat onze broeders lijden ,bidden wij onze Chau Guenechen opdat de prepotentie en de economische belangen het leven niet zouden wegdrukken en opdat de Staat haar historische schuld met ons volk niet zou vereffenen met ons eigen bloed  .

Der Rat der Häuplinge des Volkes der Williche (sprich: Wijitsche)  auf  (der Insel) Chiloe möchte mit der vorliegenden Mitteilung den Brüdern des Volkes der Mapuche (sprich:Maputsche), die von der Polizei in Tirua durch Schüsse verletzt wurden, seine Solidarität mitteilen.  So auch allen Brüdern und Schwestern, die im Konflikt leben, um ihre verbrieften Rechte an ihrem Land kämpfen zu müssen.

Die tragischen Ereignisse, von denen wir Kenntnis genommen haben, zeigen, wie wichtig es ist, daß die chilenische Regierung unsere Klagen anhört. Das gewalttätige und unangemessene Vorgehen des chilenischen Staates, mit dem unsere Völker fortwährend bedroht und unterdrückt werden, veranlaßt uns, einen Aufruf  an alle Menschen guten Willens zu machen, an alle Menschenrechtsorganisationen im In- und Ausland, damit sie sich der Verteidigung von Menschenleben anschließen. Es ist weder rechtens noch irgendwie gerechtfertigt mit Waffengewalt gegen unsere Brüder vorzugehen. Die Achtung vor dem Leben, die von der chilenischen Regierung immer wieder proklamiert wird, verbietet solche Übergriffe, solche Verletzungen.

In diesen Augenblicken, in denen unsere Brüder leiden müssen, flehen wir unseren Chau Guenechen an, daß weder Überheblichkeit noch wirtschaftliche  Interessen dem Leben vorangestellt werden und, daß der Staat seine Schuld an unserem Volk nicht mit unserem eigenen Blut bezahlt.
