The Mapuche people defeated the Spanish Crown invaders in the 15 century. Now days, their struggle is focused on maintaining their identity and stopping the encroachment of multinational corporations in Mapuche ancestral territory. The Mapuche people live in less than the 2% of their original land; they have been forced to live in poverty and many had to migrate from their land. The Chilean state answers their demands using the anti-terrorist legislation of the Pinochet regime; the Mapuche people experience a systematic repression from the police and as a result there have been several unlawful killings; mapuches in prison and their property vandalize
