Este festival, PuescoFest, estará sucediendo desde el 19 hasta el 22 de noviembre de 2015. La mision de PuescoFest es celebrar y salvar los ríos. Queremos juntar la gente de todas las culturas (indígenas, chilenos, extranjeros, kayakistas y no kayakistas) para compartir la belleza majestuosa del valle del Puesco. Queremos que la gente se siente libre como el río - la libertad de conversar, flotar libremente, sentirse libre para hacer música y libre para bailar con ella. Esta área está bajo gran amenaza de la invasión y destrucción del medio ambiente (proyectos de represas, minas, deforestación) a manos de inversionistas extranjeros en el nombre del progreso económico y el mundo tiene que saber!

Una de las mejores maneras de educar y motivar a la gente a hacer algo es reunirlos en el mismo lugar que necesita su ayuda. De esta manera se puede sentir la poderosa energía del río y los árboles y las montañas, y que todos podemos sentir esa sensación con ellos para llevar un mensaje apasionado al mundo: "Dejen los ríos correr libres."

This festival, PuescoFest, will be happening from the 19st-22rd of November 2015. The goal of PuescoFest is to celebrate the river. We want people of all cultures (indigenous, Chilean, foreign, kayakers and non-kayakers) to share the majestic beauty of the Puesco valley. We want people to feel free like the river - free to converse, free to float, free to make music and free to dance to it. This area is under great threat of invasion and environmental destruction (i.e., dams, mines, deforestation) at the hands of foreign investors in the name of economic progress, and the world needs to know.
One of the best ways to educate and to motivate people to act is to bring them together in the very place that needs their help. This way we can all feel the powerful energy of the river and the trees and the mountains, and we can take that sensation with us in order bring a passionate message to the world, "Let the rivers run free."
Come to PuescoFest and you will have the opportunity to check out beautiful locally made artisan goods and to eat delicious local foods, you can camp under the night sky of the new moon, you can watch and/or participate in kayak races, you can learn more about the environmental threats to the area, you can learn from ancient Mapuche traditions, and you can dance to FREE LIVE MUSIC from Aflora and guests.
